I have photographed this family multiple times in my studio but this time we decided to take photos at Confederation Park so her kids could run around and play. The goal for this session was to capture some natural smiles and lots of cuddles!
One trick we used to make her little man smile is, I would give him a leaf and tell him to throw it at me. HE LOVED IT!! This made the photo session feel like playtime rather than an obligation. Which honestly is my goal with every session. I never want your kids leaving the session and dreading ever having to do it again. I want your children to have so much fun at their session they don't want to leave and we have become best friends!
Confederation Park was so busy during our session for a reason I don't totally know. We were thinking maybe it was Indoor Soccer sign ups or maybe a early Terry Fox race. But regardless photoshop was to the rescue so I could take out the strangers in the background of their photos.
During Family sessions I always try to capture each parent with each child! This way when it is your child's birthday you have some photos of just you two to post. Also I find with older kids, is they love their parents so much that they want individual photos with them to put up in their bedroom!
